Cassidy Burns, from Massapequa N.Y. and alumni of Plainedge High School, she is the second ever Manhattan student athlete to earn MAAC Rookie of the Year.
With 40 points on the season, Burns was a dominant force on the offensive end for the Jaspers. She led the team in assists with 25. Season highs include 6 points in a win over Lafayette and 5 points against Iona.
In high school, Burns was a dominate force in Nassau County. A two time captain at Plainedge, Burns also tabbed All- American status in 2018 during in senior season campaign. LILJ would like to congratulate Burns on a fantastic freshman year and Manhattan Women’s Lacrosse on a fantastic 2019 season.
